Panic attacks occur when the subconscious relates an event to an emotion from the past. All the person feels is an overwhelming desire to get out of a situation or to avoid it all together. The memory of the event remains in their subconscious and it continues to cause anxiety in the person, until it is released.

As someone who, in my late teens and into my mid twenties suffered from severe panic attacks,

I can relate to it when people who suffer from panic attacks tell me of the sheer terror and anxiety they cause.

They may experience some or all of these feelings:

Heart racing, Hyperventilating, Shaking of legs/hands, Sweating and Feelings of not been in control.

These feelings are caused by adrenaline being released into your body when your subconscious mind perceives that you are in danger. One of the most confusing parts of all of this is that this doesn’t have to be a physical danger, it can be the danger of doing something silly, saying something silly, the threat of being rejected etc. Things that on a conscious level we are not even aware of. This makes it all the more terrifying at times as we try to rationalise and make sense of the situation we are in when, incredibly, it has very little to do with the situation we are in.

When a panic attack happens in any situation or event,

The thoughts a person is having at that time become very real. It feels absolute to you.

The subconscious mind will want to avoid the situation or event itself and will then attach the scary fearful feeling to it. This leads to the panic response being triggered time and time again by the same or similar situation or events.

The result is that you begin to avoid more and more situations or events in order to avoid this feeling.

You can’t quite put your finger on what is causing it so there is a blanket approach to all situations.

How I will help you to remove your Anxiety and Panic Attacks:

I will use Hypnotherapy and Transformational coaching to offer you a drug free and permanent solution. I will quickly and comfortably help you to uncover and remove the root cause of the symptoms. No matter what the fears is based on.

Transformational coach and leading hypnotherapist Sean Flanagan helps a guest on RTE's Seoige show to overcome a fear of heights.

“Nobody has to live a life of fear or limitation. Everybody has the ability to live a life of freedom with peace of mind. Its a case of Mining, not manufacturing that Freedom, it’s already there. Just like Gold or Silver we only have to find it.”
